Updates

1. I spent the past two days at Kenyon. I hugged a lot, drank hard cider, and watched The Lion King. I hope that those are all still the hip things to do several months from now.

2. During these past two days there were three instances (THREE OF THEM. BIG ONES.) in which I made good, genuine conversation with people I thought I would be really awkward around. In fact, I was hardly awkward around anyone at all. Jobrack for the win!

3. I’m leaving Ohio in a day, and the whole freaking country in two days. I’ve never been that far away from home for longer than three weeks. Hooo boy.

4. I’m trying to remember that I’m not the only one who’s going through this stuff, and that other people have done it before and have liked it. Still, since everyone is paying so much attention to me, I think I’m going to continue milking the being scared ‘n stuff for all it’s worth. 

5. My only goal for this semester is to hang out with an elephant. Sorry to disappoint you, Center for Global Engagement. I have no intention of becoming culturally aware in any other way whatsoever.
